SCOTLAND

A Escócia estava nos nossos planos há já algum tempo e nestas férias de Natal não nos escapou. Chegamos no dia 26 à noite a Edimburgo e partimos logo de manhã para uma mini road trip de 2 dias até Inverness e volta para Edimburgo. Percorremos as duas margens do Lago de Ness passando por Sterling, Perth, Forth William e Glasgow. Vimos castelos, catedrais, montanhas, estradas sinuosas, neve… Em apenas 2 dias vimos tanta coisa que vamos guardar na nossa memória. Tínhamos uma ideia do que íamos ver, mas nenhum de nós os 2 pensava que ia superar em muito as nossas expectativas.

Após a mini road trip tivemos 2 dias em Edimburgo. Uma cidade cheia de história, cultura e uma elegância que só os ingleses a conseguem ter. Percorremos calmamente a cidade absorvendo tudo o que tinha para nos oferecer. Claro que é quase uma heresia não beber um Scotch Whisky num de tantos e bons pubs da cidade (com moderação, claro).

Um enorme obrigado a todo o staff, em especial à Eva, do Novotel Edinburgh Park que nos receberam de forma fantástica e nos proporcionaram uma estadia maravilhosa na capital da Escócia.

Scotland has been in our plans for some time now and in this Christmas we had the opportunity to visit. We arrived on the 26th night in Edinburgh and left early in the morning for a 2 day mini road trip to Inverness and back to Edinburgh. We traverse the two shores of Lock Ness passing through Sterling, Perth, Forth William and Glasgow. We saw castles, cathedrals, mountains, winding roads, snow … In just 2 days we saw so much that we will keep in our memory. We had an idea of what we were going to see, but neither of us thought it would far exceed our expectations.

After the mini road trip we had 2 days in Edinburgh. A city full of history, culture and elegance that only the English can manage. We walked quietly through the city absorbing everything it had to offer us. Of course it is almost an heresy not to drink a Scotch Whiskey in one of so many good pubs in town (in moderation, of course).

A huge thank you to all the staff, especially Eva, of Novotel Edinburgh Park who greeted us fantastically and provided us with a wonderful stay in the capital of Scotland.

    Prague is a beautiful city. With many old buildings and amazing architecture. The center of Prague has been a UNESCO Cultural Heritage since 1992. It is a city that is easy to visit by foot and where it is mandatory wander through numerous alleys. In addition it also has the advantage of not being an expensive city.
    Just for information, 0.5L of beer costs about 1€.
